Hello I'm weather announcer Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village today we're going to be talking about the weather. In this clip we're going to talk about important conversions of course when your talking about temperature and the weather if you are perhaps in Canada verses the United States it depends if your going to talk about temperature with regards to celsius or Fahrenheit so very important when your talking about temperature to know your conversions. If you don't know your conversions there's many websites that you can go to a great one that I use the weathernetwork.com there is the part on the website that you can actually click on conversions and it will take you to a calculator to a basically and you can click on celsius put what the temperature is that you want to convert it to Fahrenheit or vice versa. And it will do it right there for you but, I also written out a bit of a schedule here a conversion chart for you that you can have a look at for just a moment but, this will convert this is basically the table that you would use or the formula that you would use for celsius to Fahrenheit kelvin to Fahrenheit to Celsius, Celsius to kelvin and Fahrenheit to kelvin so you would use these various formulas to do the math and convert your temperatures. But let's start off with something very very simple, now there's about 2 degrees Fahrenheit on one degree Celsius okay, so with each 10 degree celsius temperature change there is approximate 18 degree Fahrenheit change. So let's start off with a temperature conversion but everyone is pretty much familiar with, and that would be zero degrees Celsius equals 32 degrees Fahrenheit, so each time add 10 degrees or if added or subtracted to the Celsius temperature then you would want to add or subtract another 18 degrees Fahrenheit. So this would result in a table that looks like this after you memorize the following key values these are really good starting point and then you can start to do the math but, these are the most popular values to start off with but at least it will give you a kick start when starting to learn your conversions from Fahrenheit to Celsius or Celsius to Fahrenheit.
