Six Step Breakdancing Moves: Part1

Now, the next thing we are going to move into now is our foot work. Now, this is where it starts to get a little more complicated but it gets a lot more fun the more your catch on, ok. So, I don't really want to start off again with something that has already been shown on this website. But, I am going to start you off with the six step because I think it's one of the most popular moves to actually do and its definitely one of your vocab moves to move into. So, first thing we're going to do is the proper squat. Now, some of you at home are going to automatic start and your going to start squatting like this flat foot where your going to be flat foot on the ground right here and you definitely want to be this. So, like I said you want to be on the tip of your toes and you want to have your knees down. So your knees should be actually down as you can see right now my knees are definitely down and their pointing straight. This is how you would want to be. My posture is sitting up my back is straight this is how you want to be. You want to show that you have a lot of strength in your legs and in back. Most people when the first started they are going to start dancing flat palm. That's totally ok, it's one of the original ways b-boying or b-girling so don't really worry about it. One of the things you want to build of up to your expert level as you want to end up palm and finger print foot work. Ok, now all these deferent finger and deferent placements of your hand definitely goes with different moves and different styles of what your doing. Flat palm, as you can see, your hand is more better on the ground you have more grounding things like that. That's your advantage. Next thing we're going to move into is what I use. I use the palm foot work. Now, that means sometimes your thumb is going to be opposite sides and the rest of your fingers are going to be bent to the ground. Going to kind of look like this. Now, finger print is really a supper expert thing to do. This is when your actually dancing with one arm, a lot of different steps that go with one arm. And, a lot of times they're use as you can see the finger print. Sometimes back in the day people would be like I have no finger prints on the ground because I've been dancing all day. Because, their fingers are touching the ground, it's just like this. This is more of an advance way if your using only one arm and showing that you can do steps with one arm and strengths in your legs and balance and things like that. Supper fast of how we went through that, that's a little technique of how or where your hands need to be, where your knee's need to be, you always on the tip of your toes and that means if your on the tip of your toes and you can feel your shoes either touching the back of your back of your hams, the back of your thighs or anything like that and your knee's are down then your already ready to go.
