In break dancing you're definitely gonna need some way of getting started. Now you might think that you were already started when you were doing the top locking but you are not really started yet because everything, everybody knows that when you start learning to break dance the type of dancing could be either like, the happiest part of your dancing to you but you're definitely going to have to start going down to the ground. But before you start going down to the ground you got to have some ways of going down to the ground. First move we are going to start on has been around for many many years you've seen as people as like Sammy Davis Jr. to Nicholas Brothers and everything like they have used moves like this and it's called the knee drop and some people rechanged it but this move has been around for almost sixty five years. Now, how we are going to start this..I'm going to start you from your side view here so you can see exactly what we are doing but you are going to take your right leg as you can see right now and you are going to take it and put it above your left calf muscle here. I'm going to show you a back part of this now. Right leg going into the top of the calf muscle on the left side just like that. Okay, again from the front this is where your shoe should be and as you can see you can't really see anything either side. Now your next thing that you are going to end up doing to this is you are going to make sure that your hands are set because if you are not experienced with this move you can blow your knee out or you can bang your knee to the point or you can sprain it and you would have to be on crutches for a couple of weeks. So what I recommend to anybody that has never tried this before is use your hands on the floor of any kind of floor. doesn't matter if it's a matted floor, concrete, gymnastic floor or anything. Okay so what we are going to use is our hands, we're going to put our foot up to our left calf muscle and what we are going to do now is, we are not going to try and fall forward and take our knee out from the front of us. so never want to fall forward when you are doing this move. You want to make sure that you fall to your side when you are doing this move all the way down and you want to use your hands as you are going down to the ground, okay, now as you are getting up you are just going to properly go back to the opposite way that you are going so you're not going to turn towards where your knee is actually pressured on right now. What you are going to do is you're going to push back the other way it's actually coming in. So once again we are going to start from the front. We're going to make sure that you can't see that shoe, we're going to keep our hands ready, fall to our side, down, you spinning back up, back around to where you started. If you're not a right legged person, it'll be your same exact thing just the opposite leg, hands are set, fall to your side, down and spinning back up and back around. Okay? That's your knee drop.
