How to Do a Defense Cheerleading Cheer

Next, we're going to be doing our defense cheer. Defense when we want our team to grab that ball back. Their team now has the ball and we want it so we can score again. This is our defense cheer. We're going to start out by saying the words. Take it away, go big D, defense take it away. Got that? Great. Let's now do the motions. The first motion is that K we learned. We're going to be doing that left K that we did. Left arm straight up and that's take it. We do take it. On away, you're going to swing that arm up. Your right goes up into E that we learned, and your left arm make sure comes straight down by your side. Let's do it from the top. Here we go. Take it away. On go big D, you're going to swing that right arm in front of you and you're going to do a squatting position. Go big D. You're going to go up to that cone that we learned earlier, and you're going to go on your toes and kick your legs together. On defense, you're going to squat down in front of you. This will be called a lunge. Both your arms go right down in front of you in that low V we also learned earlier. On take it you're going to go up. Your right leg goes up and your arms go right behind your head. I'll just turn around for you. Your arms go right there back behind your head. On a way you're going to step right back out, make sure right leg goes out and your arms hit that high V. Once again, make sure your cheer is super tight. Okay. Now, let's say it all together with the motions. Here we go. Take it away, go big D, defense, take it away, take it away, go big D, defense take it away, take it away, go big D, defense take it away, last time, take it away, go big D, defense take it away, yeah. Another thing as a side note is you can add yeah at some of the end of your cheers to make it just one little extra punch to the end. That was our defense cheer.
