How to Hand a Football Off to the Running Back

Okay the third football drill we are going to go over is handing the ball off to your running back. It is important to let the running back know the timing, the play that you are going to do and which side to come on cause your running back is always behind you, so he must know exactly what you are going to do. So in time and game time, it is a whole lot faster and it is a whole lot harder. So you really want, really, really want to know what you are going to do after the huddle. So get in your stance, hut 1, hut 2, go back, if it is 2 if you are going to do it 2 step and then hand off that is what you do. But you got to know you have to have that relationship with your running back. That is the 2 most important things you should know, the timing and which side you are going to go on.
