Left Hand Posture in Flamenco Guitar

Hi I'm Mario Amaya and on behalf of Expert Village and in this segment I will like to talk to you about the posture of the left hand in flamenco guitar playing. When we apply the finger tips of the left hand to the strings we push down almost perpendicular to the finger board like this. A good way to get a feel for what the posture of the left hand should be is to put your hand over the finger board like this and wrap your fingers around it and just kind of left your arm hand down for a moment and that will show you how your arm and wrist should feel when you are playing the guitar. So you want the finger tips to be coming down almost perpendicular to the finger board and you have to move your arm, your wrist when you go from the first string to the 6th string. For example like this, that should play the 6th string my wrist has to come forward and my fingers come up here.
