Another exercise we’re going to do, a little bit again for the neck, but helping loosen up the lower neck area as well as the shoulders a little bit more would be just rolling your shoulders. So another great relaxation exercise is rolling your shoulders and back. We’re just taking turns, right shoulder than left shoulder, the right, then the left, nice motion, you’re going to make sure you’re getting up as far as you can, back as far as you can, down as far as you can, then forward so that you get nice full motion in each one of these. If it’s easier to start off with one shoulder at a time, then you can go ahead and start with that, and then doing both shoulders, one right after the other. You can want to come forward, it’s a little bit more of a natural feeling for most of use, but you want to make sure that you’re doing both shoulders forward as well as back. Again if it’s too hard to do both at the same time you can start off just doing one and then you can add them both back in together.
Monica your videos have been a great help for me. I recently had my neck fused from C3-C7 and was instructed to have therapy. Knowing the therapists in my home town are not that great, I went on the web and found your videos and I thank you for the help that you have given me.
Thanks Monica. I have always held a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck. I think that these stretches and exercises have help me loosen up a lot and improve my posture. I plan to continue doing these for some time to gain lasting effect and to remember to repeat them as second nature. This should also complement my weight lifting regime. I have not had to visit the chiropractor since doing these exercises, and hope to avoid that type of therapy from now on.
Videos are great!! what is unfortunate is the low volume for Monica and the high volume commercials. Suggestion put the silent advertisements on this series.
