Overview of Basketball Positions
In the game of basketball you have 10 players on each team usually 12 for substitution there's 5 people playing on each side of the team there's the point guard, 2 usually power fowards, 1 center, and a shooting guard the point guard is the man that makes the play dribbles the ball down the court and handles the ball and makes the play. The shooting guard job obviously "aka" shooting guard is to shoot the ball with the power forwards maintain which the center is doing which means lets say the shooter right here the point guard is right here and he wants to pass the shooting guard, the shooting guard would make a play to pass the shooting guard. The shooting guard would either shot it or pass it to the center that's always down low.
