How to Make an Extension Cord Reel for Home Improvement
Extension cords, especially really long ones like a 140 foot long extension cords can be very unwieldy and there’s a very simple solution for that. you just take an old bucket and if you don’t have a large drill bit to make a large hole, you can just use the largest one you have and just make a series of holes- it doesn’t have to be perfect. And then just snap out the inside there, making a large enough hole for the plug end of your cord to go through. Feed this through the hole and leave a just a little bit a few inches out. And then just dump your cord in the bucket. You might want to feed it in, coil it in- it’ll be a lot easier to handle. And now, whenever you need your extension cord, it’s in a bucket, ready to go. You just set it down near your nearest outlet, plug it in, and then take this wherever you need it.
