How to Make Iced Tea
Hi, I'm Nelson Drago with Chado Tea Room in Los Angeles on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to show you how to make ice tea and hot tea. Let's get started with some nice Jasmine Pearls iced. Here's the tea, that's is tip one, you need a teapot. If you're making ice tea for a single person you only need a teapot for about 8 oz to 10 oz, but this is unfortunately 12 oz. Step two you need to have a strainer, this could be a tea sock or it could be an infuser or mesh ball. Step three you put about 1, 2, and 1/2, since it's going to be poured over ice you need to make it a little bit more stronger than usual. This is our temperature boiler right here which is set to about 190 degrees. Pour the water over it and fill it up and we steep it for about 2 minutes, since that's the steeping time for Jasmine Pearls. Remember a timer is very important in order to steep the tea for the right amount of time, because time really matters. If you over steep it it might go bitter, if you under steep it it might not be excellent in flavor, so make sure you use a timer for it. Once your ice tea is done you can just take this out, as you see you still have about 35 seconds left. Then you can just pour this over ice. That's going to be a Jasmine Pearl iced and if you want you can really add some fruit to it such as strawberries. I haven't added any right now but if you want you can definitely add it to it.
