Hello this is Ric O'Kane on behalf of expertvillage.com in this clip I will be demonstrating the vertical elbow. If you want to find out more about Muay Thai you can visit our website at fightingtrainer.com. Okay the horizontal elbow for this strike what I'm looking to do is shot between my opponents gloves his gloves are protecting his face and I'm trying to get right between so for this instead of coming across where his arms can block, I'm coming down in between the gloves. Now from the down strike I can do a upward strike, horizontal, upward, for the lead hand I come straight across and up. Straight across and up. For the side view and the lead hand.
Hmmm . . . You fire away with that unorthodox downward elbow shot, then follow up with the upward one. Neat technique.
