What is Oolong Tea?
Hi, I'm Nelson Drago with Chado Tea Room in Los Angeles on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to be talking about Oolongs. The green tea which undergo a short fermentation process which leaves them in between black and green. They are called oolongs. However, the best oolongs come from the famous region of Taiwan. The quality of an oolong depends on the knowledge of team maker to manufacture the fermentation. The higher the fermentation the stronger the strength of tea when it's brewed. One of the finest oolongs that we carry from Formosa Jade Oolong, which is right here. You see, it looks like it's kind of pearls. The other name for the Formosa Jade Oolongs that we have is called the Jade Pearls. Steeping time for such kind of oolong, again would be 3 minutes and the water temperature for it would be about 185 to 190 degrees. Oolongs are the most health beneficiary teas considered by the Chinese people.
