Alright, there are a few terms that you might want to know when trying to attempt a contortion move. Now, some of the terms are originated actually from the ballet origin. Like a passe for example, you would like to bring your leg to passe. A passe is where you have your toe right into your left knee cap, or if you're doing your other side, you bring your left leg into your right knee cap. You can just balance simply doing that. Another maneuver that we'll be using from the ballet origin as well is to develop or to develop the leg. You will then bring your leg to passe and then you develop it all the way up into a straight leg. Then you can slowly pull it in and become a straight maneuver. Some of the contortion moves, you might be curious as to what's the terminology. Don't get terminology so stuck up in your head because a lot of the time the maneuvers are kind of made up as you go along versus based on your body and what your body's capable of doing and what you as an individual, you just kind of create things or make stuff up and like hey I can do that. A lot of it is just stuff you make up, which is even fun and more exciting about it. It's not so set in stone. You can just make up your own thing and go with it.
