Tips for Calling 911 on Neighbors
Often times we'll get a call from somebody who hears something going on in your neighbors house maybe they hear a lot of noise things banging around, maybe some yelling, screaming, there not really sure what's happening it sounds bad but they don't want to get involved. But if it's nothing what if there neighbors resent them for it later we'll the best thing I can say in that kind of situation is always better to be safe than sorry. So the best thing you can do is give the 911 operator the address or the approximate address of where it's occurring you never have to give your name or your number, you never have to say who you are or how you know the people, just the fact that you let us know we know where to go, it's half the battle. Sometimes your not going to know your neighbor's address and the only thing you have to give us is your address again it's better to be safe than sorry. If you give us your address you say you live next door rather it's the green house next to yours or across the street, whatever at least we have something to go on. Because a lot of times you don't want to get involved you don't provide us with information we can send an officer to check the general area but if they don't hear or see anything there's not going to be anything they can do. And god for bid if something happens to one of neighbors and that would be pretty horrible so always worth thinking about.
