The last and my very very favorite is what is called stage race. Stage races are so much fun because you are going to get 3 races over 2 or 3 days. Most stage races start out with a time trial. That is when it is good to have your clip on arrow bars because you don't need to have a separate bike. You can take your road bike, have your arrow clip on bars and do the time trial. The second and third stage is going to be a crit or a circuit race and a road race. There is not any particular order. I've done stage races when road races came second and I've done stage races where the criterium or circuit race came second. Usually you are going to start with the time trial and later on in the day or the next day you will do the second race and then the following day, do the third race. You don't race the 3 races all in one day. It is going to be over a 2 or 3 day span. They are a lot of fun and it is an extra challenge to get yourself all fired up and excited, compete 1 race, cool down and get ready for your second race. If it is a 3 day stage race, seeing that you have the endurance to go our 3 days in a row and give it all you got.
