Now I am going to discuss the different types of races that you can become involved in when you decide to go out and actually race your bike. There is time trialling, criterium racing, circuit racing, road racing and one of my favorites is the stage race. The first thing we are going to talk about is time trialling. Time trialling is different from the other types of racing because it is you against the clock. It is basically you going out on your bike from a starting point, riding for a specific distance and coming back and trying to have the fastest time. Now the key to time trialling is to able to ride at a steady pace and hold that pace for the distance that you are riding. Most time trials are 20 kilometers or 40 kilometers depending on the race and for time trialling, most people choose to either buy a Time Trial bike or a its called a tri-bike, time trial bike or to buy clip on arrow bars for their bike.
