Now you don't want to be intimidated by the theremin it is really a very enjoyable instrument to play. Just imaging hearing a song in you head I mean everybody could pull up something like "Mary had a little lamb" now you wonder how could you get that on the theremin. Well it is like any musical instrument it has playing field and within that playing field are the notes. Now I might hear a note from "Mary had a little lamb" starts mmm Mary had a little lamb mm. Well lets see if I could find that note. There it is Mary. (playing) It is simply a matter of practicing to find where the note is where I call the playing field that is the 2 feet from the notes first starts to all the way to the highest note on the pitching antenna. If you want to also find notes using more traditional ways you can use a piano find a note on a piano you know where a C or a A is on a piano. You could also use a guitar tuner like this which has a little mic on it so when you play the theremin it would read and tell you a note just like it does on a guitar or any other instrument that you might use this to find tuning. So there are other ways to find a note on a theremin but it is practice, practice, practice that is the best way to be a good theremin player.
