How to Replace a Light Switch

Now we'll put it back in. Now, I always try and start the screw with a standard screwdriver like my 10 in 1 instead of my bent shaft because it's hard to get that balanced right. Get the first couple of screws in there with the screwdriver and I'll move on to get the others. The switches give you play on either side of the screw just in case this box is not leveled or flushed or anyway so you can take your level and make sure that it's straight one way or the other. You don't want to tighten too tight either cause it'll start to bend the little metal brackets on these switches here. Then you put the cover back on and that looks okay. So there you go, that's how you replace a switch.
