Importance of a Sign In Sheet at an Open House
When you have an open house or for any showing it's very important that you have a sign in sheet and what the sign in sheet does is when people come in you ask them to sign there name hopefully they'll give you an email or phone number. Sometimes they just put there name now of course we don't force people because a lot of people don't want to give out there information for good reason. For not being spam or unwanted emails for real estate agents but it's very important that at least you get there name. There are many reasons for this after the Sunday open house Monday or Tuesday you go back on the list and you call those people back or email them how did they like it, would they like to have another look if there not interested in this property as a realitor you might get a lead for another property. But also it keeps a record of whose coming by so you can also show the seller how many people you've showed it to if it's taken longer to sell you at least showing them that your working at it. It's not your fault it's a good source as a data base but it's also very good source to keep because these people who come one month if you haven't sold it in 3 months they still might be interested. And also if your going to reduce the price you want to go back through this log to call those people and tell them you reduced the price and maybe now there interested. So this is very important tool also when you have showings during the week that aren't the open house I like to put everybody's information on here as well. So keep this with you and again you can go over with a seller to show them how many people you've actually showed the property too.
