So building a table we'll need some wood. Normally when I need a table at my house I use scrap wood that I find cut down to the different sizes that way it's cheaper for me. If I'm going to build a table I want it to be cheaper than going into IKEA and getting one of their pieces of furniture. What I've done is I found this nice thick piece of plywood. This is inch and eighth, it's going to give me a nice thick look to the table top. We'll need wood for the legs. I found also these nice 2 inch by 2 inch pieces of wood for the table legs. We're going to create an apron and what I've selected for that is this pine and it's 1x4 material. Now, what's interesting about the 1x4 is when the olden days when we had a lot of trees everything was 1 inch thick by 4 inches wide. Nowadays we're down to 3/4 and 3 1/2 inches. So it's not exactly 1x4 anymore but that's the way it is, less trees less wood. We got different sizes but still we're sticking with the 1x4 material. We'll also need some wood glue and that's pretty much the product. Next I show you the hardware that we'll need to assemble the table.
