What Not to Restore in Victorian Style Kitchen

Hi I'm Betty Ingham and speaking on behalf of Expert Village and I would like to give you a little of information on decorating a Victorian kitchen. These are the walls this is what the walls look like before we ever even sheet rocked and we thought it was kind of neat to leave it because it shows the stairway where the servants went upstairs to there quarters and it was a back entry. And we really couldn't get very much in here and if we sheet rocked it was also destroy getting a washer and dryer in here which we wanted to do. This was kind of make shift pantry that had been the entry way and we just closed it off and put the door here and as you can see they had started refinishing these walls taking the paint off, but we thought it was just wonder how they left the outline of the steps.
