Hi my name is Richard Buccola of Starlite Karaoke here in New York City and on behalf of Expert Village today we're going to show you how to start and run a successful karaoke business. Okay I'm going to talk about word of mouth word of mouth is the free advertisement your going to get and it's your best advertisement again cause it's free and also I find that word of mouth is more reliable. I know when I looking for something I ask a friend "ah did you ever do this or did you use this guy" I tend to trust your friend so again a word of mouth is going to be a big big part of how I got a lot of my shows and by doing that your going to have to do big shows. So be honest and always do a good show and your going to see where word of mouth is going to travel real fast. And how your going to do a good show is by experience your going do things that are wrong I made so many mistakes I still make mistakes now, but I'm always nice to everybody and that's a big part your going to be definitely nice to everybody you meet and going to try to have to work it out. Your going to see it's going to hard there's going to be shows where you have people dealing with alcohol and your going to have to be a real good mediator and your going to also be a people person. And in this business you have to be a karaoke host or an MC or a master of ceremony's but your going to also be a DJ and your going to have to be a KJ which is a karaoke jockey. So all things incorporate and will help you word by mouth.
