Books on Collecting Majolica Pottery

So some of the places to start when your thinking about collecting majolica because since there's a wide range and variety and price and quality of majolica, I highly recommend some of these books. This is the collectors encyclopedia of majolica this is a really nice book it gives you, you can see on the outside just a few examples of what different types of forms you can acquire when you start to collect majolica. Here's another book to that it's just a price guide which is really helpful when your just starting out and you really don't know what the prices are on these pieces. This is a nice book to start with, here's another book on majolica by Mike Schneider I like this book a lot because it has a lot of very common pieces that you see a lot. This pitcher right here is a pitcher you can see is right here so you can see that these are easily acquired and the pieces you'll find in this book that are very common. So there easy to acquire some of these books will show you pieces of majolica that are so expensive and so hard to find that you won't see them. Here's an example right here in this book a collectors book on majolica this is an expensive book that shows you some of the most expensive pieces. This is probably a $20,000 piece your looking at on front of this book so not something that most of us will ever to acquire but it just shows you the very top line of majolica. And the things that are very expensive that we won't see very often, the book is very expensive to so I would recommend getting some of these other books that I showed you to start with. But this also just gives you a better range of what's out there and what's available on the field of collecting majolica.
