How to Repair a Hole in a Garden Hose
I’m going to show you how to repair a garden hose. There’s no reason to go get one if you simply have a nick that is spraying water. What you want to do is identify where the hole is and cut away both sides of the hole so that you remove the damage section of the hose. Then you’re going to go get at the home store a hose repair kit which is pretty simple. It has a couple of clamps for each end and they a coupler which you will insert into each end of the hose. But before you do that you want to have a coupler set out on this side of the- a clamp rather set out on the side of the coupler. And it helps if your hose, maybe on a hot day, it’s been sitting out in the sun and so it’s warmed up and so it becomes a lot more malleable.

But you insert this as far as you can into each end of the hose and then slide the clamp down over the union here. Then all you do is tighten the screws on the clamp, and I would suggest alternating between one side to the next so that you get an even pressure. Back and forth, back and forth until it’s tight. Simply do the same thing on the other end until you’re done.
