So we are going to talk a little bit about these crocks here that came in many different shapes and sizes. They have butter crocks, they had cake crocks, and many different sizes that went down from half a gallon up to 5-6 gallons. This we have a few samples we can show you today this is a 2 gallon right here with a nice little decoration on it. Fairly good shape with ears on the side it has 2 what they call the ears 2 handles on either side to pick up and move these heavy crocks when they where full. So you can see here 2 of the ears on both side of the crock and here you have another one that is 3 gallons with a nice decoration on the front of it. Then we have behind here another 3 gallon a crock with a different type of decoration with the chicken the picking chicken and another example we have behind here is a 4 gallon crock this is a little bit larger same ear handles very typical for this shape crock you are going to find either end either side you are going to have handles to pick and move this crock around. So this a 4 gallon and we have one more crock back here which a 5 gallon that is the largest size we have to show you today and that is a crock with a bird decoration on it. This is a pretty good size crock that weights a fair amount so those handles are little bit bigger then what you see on a the 4 gallon. But when fill this vessel it is going to be pretty heavy to move so it makes for a very large storage for whatever food stuff they wanted to preserve.
