How to Exfoliate the Forehead

Hi my name is Anton and I’m here on behalf of ExpertVillage.com and today I’m going to be demonstrating exfoliating on the face. I’m going to demonstrate exfoliation on the forehead and first I’m going to start with a liquid exfoliator and I’m going to actually apply it with a foundation brush instead of my hands just because every thing stays a little more sanitary that way. So I’m going to gently apply the exfoliator on the forehead and I’m going to rub it in. basically what this is doing is its prepping the skin for any kind of harsh cream exfoliation. So you apply this evenly all over the surface and then you let this sit for a second and then what you can do is you can take any type of basic cream exfoliator and you apply a small amount on the same surface that you would have applied the liquid exfoliator. And typically I also use the same brush and I kind of buff it in a gentle circular motion and what this does is it gently of removes any dead skin on the surface. But you want to use this in a very gentle motion, you don’t want to be abrasive and damage the skin. Processes like this usually you want to do a couple times a week, sometimes everyday depending on how gentle the product is. After applying and gently exfoliating, you want to let it sit for a couple of minutes, just so the exfoliating process can finish all on its own and then you want to gently wash off the products and you want to use a moisturizer afterwards just to tone the skin.
