How to Sight In Your Rifle: Deer Hunting Tips & Techniques

Hi this is John. One of the things that will happen from time to time on a deer hunt, even to the most experienced of hunters is actually drop your rifle. The last thing you want to do is be out in the deer woods and have a trophy buck in your sights and find out that the rifle is off zero. What you can do is take off the caps on the scope and take a few shot, see where the bullet is hitting, if it’s still on zero put the caps back on, if its not take a penny that I have here in my hand, adjust the sights so they’ll be back where they should be. This is going to eliminate a ruined hunt for you. You take time and effort to be out in the woods to look for that trophy buck; don’t let a scope that’s off zero mess that hunt up for you.
