How to Cook Greek Falafel

Hello my name is J and I'm talking on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to fry up your patty of falafel. I put a little butter and olive oil inside my pan I had it heating up for a while. What I'm going to do is stick each one in there I want to be able to hear that nice sizzle. Now you want to stick you pan about medium heat, you want to heat your oil and butter mixture up for about 4 minutes, make sure that it is nice and hot so when you put your falafel in there. You want to stick each falafel in here for about 3-4 minutes or until the opposite side gets nice and brown and crispy texture. You just want to let them sit there. In the mean time what you can be doing is rolling your other patties and forming them while these are cooking that is a good idea if you are cooking for a lot of people I'm just going to be making one little falafel sandwich for you guys today and that is why I'm not going to be rolling anymore of this stuff. You can actually put foil over this and use this mixture for the next day and the next day after that. It would stay good for at least 3 days in the refrigerator. As far as these patties you just want to let them sit there for a while. Like I said 3-4 minutes, you don't want to put to much oil. What restaurants usually do they usually deep fry there falafel today I'm not going to deep fry it cause I don't have a deep fryer. I can fill this up with oil and stick in there but I actually like to find this to be a lot more sufficient cause sometimes the falafel fall apart inside of the oil and gets really messy so this is your basic way of doing it. If you need to check your falafel to make sure you see that nice brown crispy texture that is what you want you want it to be nice and beautiful just like that. If you like your falafel a little bit more country you can leave it in there a little bit longer but you want that nice brown caramelize look on your falafel and that is it for frying your falafel.
