Questions & AnswersHello my name is Donaill Dixon and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to be talking about beginning basketball. There are many different aspects of beginning basketball. Today I'll be talking about how the court is constructed. Basically two baskets surrounded by out of bounce line and it works it works its way in towards you have a half court line, you also have a 3 point line and you also have a free throw line. The out of bounce line is a line that can't be crossed over when playing in a game. Your at a 3 point line, which all defensive players can get 3 points by shooting not going over the line but stand across the line and not going over the 3 point line. Then you have the free throw line which you can get 1 point if a player on defensive side commits a foul against you. By the way going back to the half court line that's where the game is started at where you have one player from each team jump the ball to see who gets the ball first. Who ever tips it, that's who starts the game out with.
