Tips for Applying Foundation Color Makeup

Hi my name is Anton and I’m here on behalf of ExpertVillage.com and today I’m going to be demonstrating the application of foundation based on skin tone. Now skin tone really depends on your color undertones. People with cooler skin tones typically have a little bit more of a yellowish olivey undertone in their skin and people with a warmer skin tone typically have a bit of a more reddish pink undertone in their skin. Now this particular skin type has a little bit of both, so what I did is I blended together a little bit of a warm and cool tone foundation just to get the most natural effect. I’m just applying this with a basic foundation brush evenly all over the skin and what I’m going to do afterwards is I’m going to blend it with a softer brush, just to give it a little bit more of a gentle natural edge. The more you blend the product, the more natural it’s going to look and the better it’s going to look against your skin tone. So I’m just evenly distributing this. Cream foundations work great because they give you more color and they tend to look a little more natural because they tend to blend in with the oil on your face a little bit better. I just want to give it a really nice even all over effect and what I’m going to do is I’m going to take a softer brush and I’m going to just gently buff this into the skin. And like I said what this is going to do, it’s going to give it a really even all over natural flawless finish, which is great because it looks natural, makes the skin looks great and it mixes in with the undertones of the skin better as well.
