How to Test if Toys are Too Small for a Baby

Hi! This is Stacey from Expert Village. In this clip, I will show you how to check for small and dangerous parts on toys. For children 3 years and younger one of the things is the toy should be bigger than the child’s mouth. They do have things that you can use If a toy is too small. This item I have right here is called a choke hazard tester. What you do is you put the object that you're wondering about into it. If it fits entirely into the hole right here then it is too small for children 3 years and younger. Lego’s wouldn't be the best thing. Here's a little people I put her in there and she does stick just a little bit outside of it so it would be okay according to this one. However, it's your judgment. Now, if you not have one of these you can also use a toilet paper roll and do the same thing. If the item fits inside here like this little people would, then it probably wouldn't be best for children 3 years and younger.
