Hi this is Paul Amato on behalf of Expert Village one of the things I recommend getting is a chimney starter. What I like about starting my coals in the chimney starter is that it's quick and it easy. You fill it up, put some paper underneath, start it with a match or you can also just use one these starter cubes. What your going to do is take your chimney starter and load it up with some lump coal. Once you have enough coal in the chimney starter what you need to do next is take some couple of old sheets of newspaper or one of the starter bricks that I talked about earlier before or starter cubes I should say. Lift it up, put your paper underneath and set a match to it. Once you get the paper lit these coals will be ready very quickly and you can start smoking your ribs.
