Acupuncture for Frozen Shoulder in Traditional Chinese Medicine

Frozen shoulder is one of the spontaneous progressive inflammations in the shoulder where certain ligaments and tendons may be affected. Today the causes of this disorder remain unclear although it is considered as a genetic disorder. Frozen shoulder is mostly seen in the middle age and the elderly. Thus it is also known as 50s shoulder. Once the patients has resumed effective acupuncture treatments and is a pain state of frequent frozen symptoms may not occur. If the frozen symptoms have already occurred, timely acupuncture treatments still can facilitate the rehabilitation of the shoulder. Generally acupuncture especially electro acupuncture has excellent therapeutic effectiveness for this disorder.
