How to Cut Drawer Sides for a Chest of Drawers

Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip we will be cutting our drawer sides. I have drawn out that I can get all of my drawer sides out of 3 sheet of 1/2" plywood. On my top half of my plywood I would be able to get my top 3 drawers through shorter ones, on the lower half I would be able to get all of my sides for my lower 2 drawers. I'm going to start by making a cut all the way across my sheet right here and right here which will give me the width of those pieces that I'm going to take it over the table saw and cut out all of my lengths. The next thing I'm going to do is going to repeat that same process for my wider pieces. After I cut all of my drawers sides I need to cut the groove on the bottom of the drawer so that our drawer bottom will be able to fit in it when we assemble it. To do this I set up my data blade at a 1/4" and I'm going to run each side piece through, and I'm left with my finish dado cut.
