Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip we will be installing the cleats. To install the cleats I will be using wood glue, a pin nailer with 1/4" pin nails, and a tape measure, and writing utensil. I have cut my cleat board a little bit short on both sides just so that it won't interfere with the back or front trim. For my top I've measured down 3/4" and then my cleat will go there. So then when I slide my top piece in it's going to be flushed, and all we need to do is glue, spread that around so it will hold a little bit better. Place that on there to our lines and pin nail it. Lastly you can wipe away any access glue with a damp paper towel, for our bottom cleats we will measure up 3/4" so that we have 4" of space for our trim, once our bottom shelf is put on. We have now finished installing all our cleats for each piece.
