Rally O Sit & Walk around Command

So another exercise that we can practice with our dog is the sit, walk around so basically what we are doing is we are approaching the sign, putting the dog in a sit cause we see the halt and we also tells us to sit and the dog then is then put in a stay so sit stay and you walk around the dog. This can be tricky to start with Ursula has not done this a whole lot so I'm going to show you how you can start teaching your dog how to hold that position while you are going behind the dog. What a lot of dogs do is they can hold the stay as you a quarter way around but as you come behind them they get up to follow you. So we would see how she does and we go through the steps on how to teach your dog to do this exercise. I'm going to start this one on leash because my prediction is that she is going to have a hard time with it so I actually a little bit more control over her. Ready let's go I approach the sign I can read it sit, walk around Ursula sit. Okay I had to take a lower out to get her to do it I'm not going to give her that treat it goes back in my pocket. Stay very nice, good girl. Okay alright so she did not actually get up you can see how her head turned around to follow me we are going to do it one more time we are going to try it off leash. I won't be using the leash to hold her in place but I will be trying to use my hands so we would see how she does. Actually at that time she had a harder time doing her sit then what she did with her stay. Come on come around good girl. Ready let's go good girl sit, stay, good girl, good job, very nice. So two thing you can do to help your dog hold a position is if you have the leash on, hold the leash behind them when you go around. The other thing is if you are doing it off leash hold your stay hand signal in front of the dogs face as you walk all the way around your dog.
