Serpentine Weave for Rally Obedience Dog Shows

So another one of the exercise this one is actually kind of a fun one and this one is the serpentine team here is the card for the serpentine team and what you do is your are basically going to weave with your dog through a number of cones. So I'm going to show you how we are going to do this we are going to do it first on leash and then we are going to try it off leash. So if we came up to this one come here Urs we would have the sign to our right it would probably be about here but the sign would be to our right and then we would go right through the cones that are set up for us. Let's go Urs and we want to do this with a loose leash, puppy, and you can use your voice to follow you, good girl let's go, good job, excellent, good. So she did very nicely on that again the key thing here is that you want to use your voice and your body to keep your dog with you and not pulling them with a tight leash. We are going to try her now off leash and see how she does. Let's go over here come around, good girl, okay ready, let's go Urs this way this way, up, this way good girl, good job, good. So she did quiet nicely going on the off leash one as well. This is actually a lot of fun just to practice this one with your dog and what is does is it keeps your dog focus on where you are going as oppose to where they want to go.
