So here we've learned in just these few minutes the basics of playing the Native American flute. These basics apply to any size flute that you might have. This is a flute a "C" that I make called the Woodland Flute and it's the same principles. It's a five hole flute instead of six and you just keep your finger in the same place. The scale and vibrato are the same. The tonguing is the same, the grace note is the same. A little bit larger flute, this one's an "A". It looks longer but it's actually higher than it looks because of these tuning holes. But anyway, same principle another five hole flute, same thing. And the original flute that I've been playing, a little bit lower. So whatever flute you have if it's a different key than that, I apologize I can't do anything about it but hopefully you've been able to play along and you have the relationship in the notes as my flutes and hopefully you've gotten all of this information and you can put it together.
