How to Start from Sit to Teach your Dog to Not Jump on People

So if we don't want the dog jumping on us as a greeting which would be there normal greeting with each other we need to teach them a alternative appropriate, exceptable form of greeting us. Really we don't care what the dog is doing as long as they are not jumping. The dog can be standing or they can be sitting, sitting is a little bit further away from the actually jumping then standing. So it is a good idea when you are starting to work with either a young dog, a puppy or a dog who is just learned to jump and have been reinforce for jumping is a good idea to start with a sit. So we first want to make sure that the dog understands what sit is I lost my little demo dog here come here puppy good girl. This is Raven she is 13 months old and she is a jumper so first we want to make sure that Raven knows what sit means. Good girl. So if your dog knows how to put there selves into the sit position.
