What are the Parts of the Trumpet?
We have various parts of the trumpet that are important to know. This part right up here is called the lead pipe, this is your mean tuning slide and you have valves that are numbered one, two and three. The one closest to you while you’re playing is valve one, valve two, valve three. Each valve has a slide that is associated with it, we’ve got the first tuning slide here, the second tuning slide and on the back side the third tuning slide. This is your valve cluster where are the valves are housed in and then this part around here is called the bell of the trumpet.
