Hi I'm here with Ann, and Ann is gonna demonstrate some easy, simple tips we can do for re-usable plates. There are a lot of things that families and individuals can do at home that can make a tremendous difference. And they're just really simple things that a lot of times we just take for granted. Like when we're getting ready to eat, a lot of us are very convenience orientated, we're always in a hurry, but if we take a second to basically slow down, we can make a tremendous difference. Examples are, Styrofoam cups, for beverages. If you go get your morning coffee somewhere using a re-usable cup instead.. Very few programs will include Styrofoam cups as being acceptable, and even paper cups. With the food residue in them you're most likely not going to recycle them. The reusable cup is a good option, this is something simple that everyone can do. Right, and all you do is you wash it, and bring it to your Starbucks. And a lot of them will re-fill it. So, at home, I make a practice of always using ceramic plates or even a heavy duty plastic one that can be re-used over and over and over. Much better than the traditional paper plate. There are limited options for the paper plate if they have food on them. The same goes for the paper napkins as well as the plastic silverware.
