Cutting Peppers For Creole Style Rice

This is Karl James owner of Creolesoul catering located in Round Rock, Texas and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you a creole style rice dish. Okay now we are going to dice up or cut up a little Serrano pepper a lot of people I take the seeds out think that the heat is actually in the seeds but it is not in the seeds at all a lot of the heat is in that membrane this little white membrane here. So taking the seeds out doesn't remove any of the heat. So we are just going to split this in half and just make a small cuts cause we are not going to make is to hot now you can adjust the heat the way you like. You can add more Serrano peppers or less, you can even take it up a step further and miss around with some habanero peppers it is up to you. But we would get that right there and then get another fine chop on these peppers because if you remember in our seasoning we also added a little Cajun pepper to that and so there we have our Serrano and we would add this to the rest of our veggies and step forward.
