Blind Wine Tasting

I’m Terry Thomas. I’m here on ExpertVillage.com to bring you a little about the appreciation of wine. I think with this tasting group you can develop what’s called a blind tasting, which is having a group like we have here, a group of glasses. Maybe 6 or maybe 8, 8 is a lot but 6 and set up a system that nobody knows what is in each glass and you would probably want to get all cabernets or all chardonnays or something but then everyone would taste maybe telling everyone what wines were actually brought, no one knows where they are and almost always people will decide that the most expensive. People will begin to know what the heavies are and they’ll almost always pick the wine they like best as the most expensive and seldom is this ever the case. So these are things that really educate you, that really help enhance your enjoyment of it completely and it’s a lot of fun.
