Utensils To Make Tortilla de Patatas

Hi I'm chef Rainer Wickel and I'm here today with Expert Village.com well we're onto our next Tapa and that's tortilla de patatas. Which is basically is a potato omelet, and now as I mentioned before this is probably one of the most popular Tapas that your going to find in any Spanish restaurant. And what I need to go over with you right now is all of the utensil that we're going to use to make this dish. Now of course the very first thing what we need is a potatoe peeler, because we're going to be peeling about 3 potatoes and this is one of the main ingredients in the dish. We also need a nice sharp large knife because we are going to be slicing the potatoes up and the onions too. And of course a nice sharp pairing knife, I always like to have a pairing knife around because you never know when your going to need it to cut things up. We need a nice steardy cutting board that's to cut up all the ingredients on and we need a spatula this will help us when we're actually positioning the omelet in the skillet and it will help us when we're flipping it too. We need 2 bowls the reason we need to bowls, one of them we're going to be using to mix the eggs in and the other bowl we'll be using to actually put the potato mixture in the onions in and then we'll go ahead and pour the eggs into the potato and onion mixture. Also need a big bowl this is what I'll be using to peel the potatoes into and of course we need a strainer, the reason why we need a strainer is that once we fry they potatoes and the onions we need to drain all the access oil out of it before we mix with the eggs. We need a plate and the reason why we need a plate is that this is what we're going to be using once we fry the actual omelet together we'll put that on top of the skillet, flip it over and then fry the other side of the omelet. And of course we need a skillet to and that's to fry the potatoes omelet in and these are basically all the utensils that we need to make a tortilla de patatas.
