How to Use the Mixer: Cubase Tutorial

Hey everybody my name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. Next I'm going to teach you about the mixer if you go put to devices and click mixer you see that there is a mixer, mixer 2 and a mixer 3 these are you can open up multiple mixers but for now I'm just going to click the top one and that opens up. This mixer right here and the mixer is divided into 3 parts to the left here you would have your in puts, in there middle here you can slide these around. In there middle you would have your tracks these are your different tracks from the other view that you are us to and to the right you have your outputs. Basically what the mixer is it is just a different way of viewing all of your tracks and things. I looks a little more like a actual mixer a mixing board that you might see in a studio maybe your own studio and it helps to visualize your tracks a little better. From here you can do a lot of different things you can change the volume and turn down the master volume down here on the right on the output. You can control the volume of each individual track. You can also if you click here and drag these left and right you can drag the pan of each individual track and if you forget exactly where any of your settings where in the beginning with if you hold down control and click it would reset the settings back to the default. Now on the left here you can hide and show different tracks and different parts of each track. But there is a lot you can do in the mixer and it just helps you to kind of visualize your tracks a little better and makes it feel a little more real.
