How to Record Audio: Cubase Tutorial

Hey everybody my name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. Alright now we want to actually record some audio so the first thing you are going to want to do is to create a audio track. So right click like we did before and click add audio track. Make sure that it is stereo for now, click okay and there is your track. To record you are going to want to make sure that this little button right here is red it probably already is but make sure that it is and then you are going to want to click the monitor button right beside it so that is yellow. What this does it lets you actually here the input coming in to your system so you can here what is going on there. The next thing you are going to want to do is make sure that the loop button or the cycle button of what is called in cubase is turned off. If it isn't already ti probably would be but make sure. Make sure you are at the beginning and then you are going to want to go ahead and click record. And go ahead and click stop when every you are done recording and you can rewind it and listen to what you have created and make sure when you go and play it back that you turn monitor off.
