How to Use Cubase Tools: Part 1

Hey everybody my name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. Alright there is a lot of other tools in cubase I'm going to teach you about the range selection tool next. What this lets you do is select obviously a range within a event I just selected that part and you can pick it up and actually move it around. You can undo that if you hold alt and do this it is going to actually copy it. You can also edit go to edit cut, edit, paste just like you would any other program with that tool. Next to it as split tool what this does lets you split events, if you hold down alt when you split that it would split it in regular intervals. There is the glue tool the glue tool will do just the opposite of the split tool it would actually glue your splits back together. Then you got the eraser tool if I go ahead and cut up my event I can use the eraser tool to go in and erase parts of the event. Then you got the zoom tool which would be pretty self explanatory you can click to zoom in. To your event you can alt click to zoom out. A alternative of these is if you go up here and hold down your left mouse button right in here in the time bar right up on the top and click up and down that would also zoom in. You can go to the left and right to move that around either way you find to be easier to you it is just a matter of personal preferences.
