The Essence of Ninjutsu

On behalf of Expert Village my names Anthony Lucas of the Bujinkan Koteki Dojo in New York City, today I'm going to show beginning techniques of Ninjitsu. Ok again, the techniques that you seen here that was demonstrated between me and my partner Maradeth a, those were the traditional forms as we say. A today as I understand Ninijsu a the techniques is more like a it's, it's the, the structure of Ninjitsu but the essence of Ninjitsu like I like to call real Budo, it comes in that is the natural movement so that means that in every given exchange there's a change. And with the change, there's Hanka and with Hanka theirs, there comes all natural a variation of that so what you seen, that I demonstrated earlier when we did from real time as opposed to technique. The technique was the technique as we understand it now as opposed to when we did it in real time it didn't look the same because the feeling is different, the attack of the, of the attack was different, the body dynamic is different, everything changes so part of Ninjitsu is able to adapt, a where from Ninjitsu in the Samurai that's different between the two as I understand it. The Samurai was more structured, the ninja was more a, a more I guess free where they would move more spontaneously. On behalf of Expert Village thank you for watching.
