The Range of the Hapkido Bo Staff

On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Master Dave Herbert with the World Martial Art Center in New York City. I'll be demonstrating some hapkido staff techniques. One great advantage of having a staff, either short or long staff, is that you have distance and range. It's good to take advantage of that range. If someone attempts to strike you with a hand or it could be a bottle or a stick, as long as you have range, you have advantage because you can move as attacking. You can move and strike.
