Just as fun, but not so damaging is to put tape over it. That works great...the cursor will not move.

The Glue on the Mouse Office Prank
I'm Greg from Expert Village and I'm going to show you a bunch of pranks that you can pull on your fellow coworkers. Take his mouse and cover the entire bottom of it with glue. Make sure you use a white glue like Elmer's or something cause you don't want to cause any permanent damage. Just stick it to his mouse pad or desk and wait for him to come back.
